WHO WE ARE
Action for Safe Livelihood (ASALI) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that advocates for promotion of sustainable usage of natural resources with a focus to promoting the livelihood of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. The organization was founded in December, 2020 with a distinctive agenda of advocating for climate smart utilization of natural resources for the betterment of the quality of life for the current and future generations. The organization is operating under the NGO Act 2016 and dully registered as a non-governmental organization with a permit. The organization’s activities are regulated under the Act and the organization’s Constitution.

WHAT WE DO
- Sensitization of persons of all Ages and Gender on the need for utilization of natural resources in a responsible and sustainable manner.
- Advocating for communities understanding of the relationship between human rights, Gender equity, health and climate change.
- Empowerment of communities in embracing mitigation and adaptation techniques as mechanisms of adjusting to effects of climate change.
- Advocating for responsible production and consumption.
- Promotion of safe waste handling including training in techniques of turning waste into value.
- Foster acquisition of knowledge by organized groups in Financial Literacy.
- Conducting surveys on wealth, health and climate change plus any pertinent subjects to inform Public debate and Policy.
